Natural History Museum Project Description:
The Natural History Museum in Los Angeles County displayed a wall without adequate rebar where a cold joint occurred, requiring added shear capacity.

Solution:
The glass-based Tyfo® BC system, oriented in the ± 45º angle, was installed above and below the subject cold joint to provide the required strengthening. Tyfo® SEH Anchors were also placed above the cold joint due to the poor condition of the existing concrete wall.

Summary:
With the versatility of the Tyfo® Fibrwrap® Systems, the design of the fiber was able to work around existing conduits and openings that otherwise would have required movement and replacement.

Fibrwrap® Construction performed the successful installation of the Tyfo® Fibrwrap® Systems as the Fyfe Co. LLC certified applicator.
